Established in 2020, Becraft Scholars is an equity program created in partnership with the Fulcrum Foundation and the Ferry Family Charitable Foundation.

This program aims to make Catholic education financially accessible to Black families and promote a culture of belonging in Archdiocesan schools.

Each year, Becraft Scholars recruits a cohort of 12 kindergarteners and makes a nine-year commitment to their families to provide a $5,000 annual scholarship. St. Therese currently has 6 scholars in this program and will move to 9 for the 2021-22 school year. St. Therese is a priority partner school at this time.

St. Therese Playfield has been making memories for children in our school, parish, and neighborhood since 1927! The setup and look have evolved over time, but in recent years, we have not been able to keep up our playground or field turf to the extent that it and our children and families deserve due to financial hardship and other urgent priorities. With so much time away from campus since March 2020, we are eager to make an investment in a new play structure, ground surfacing, upgraded field turf, new fencing, foundation work including an ADA ramp entrance, and play equipment to help 2021 and beyond be years filled with more memory-making and fun for our children and St. Therese Family!

All donations for our Fund-a-Need will go toward the 2021 Playground Renovation and Expansion Project. Priorities include:

1. New Play Structure and Ground Surface on Upper Field ($50-125k)

2. Turf Repair/Replacement and Expansion (Up to $50k)

3. Repair and Replace Entrance Area Steps ($25k)

4. Secure Fencing around Perimeter of Upper Field (TBD)

5. ADA Ramp Entrance on North Side of Field ($50-75k)

6. Blacktop Basketball Hoop Upgrades and Futsal Materials and Lines 

The STCA Teacher Excellence Fund was established in January 2019 with the purpose and vision of raising funds to enable and sustain salary increases, commitment bonuses, leadership stipends, and professional development/continued learning funding for the faculty and staff of St. Therese Catholic Academy - AKA the Dream Team.

All donations made on this page will directly support our Teacher Excellence Fund and ensure that the Allstar students at STCA continue to learn from the best as we attract and retain amazingly talented, mission-driven, and passionate teachers!

On October 6, 2020, we unveiled a memorial plaque honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Wayne J. Melonson, also known as Mr. St. Therese!

Mr. Melonson attended St. Therese and then later coached, taught, attended the parish, and served as a principal and administrator at St. Therese for over six decades. Many alumni identify Mr. Melonson as "the difference maker" on their educational journey that sent them on the right path to where they are today.

This scholarship fund directly benefits legacy families and multi-child families at St. Therese. This is the heard of the funded tuition assistance we provide our families.

Donations made here will go directly to the Melonson Legacy Scholarship Fund established in 2017. Please support our Allstar scholars in the spirit of Mr. Melonson!
